Press Kit: Bio for Aram Kim

Aram Kim is an award-winning author and illustrator of many acclaimed picture books. She was born in Ohio, grew up in South Korea, and now lives in New York enjoying diverse food and culture. She has always been surrounded by books and always loved stories. As a child, Aram used to write and illustrate her own stories in the school notebooks. Since she moved to NYC to attend the School of Visual Arts, Aram wrote and illustrated several books including Cat on the Bus, published by Holiday House, and was called “a solid debut” by Publishers Weekly, and Tomorrow Is New Year's Day, which is about Seollal, a Korean celebration of the Lunar New Year, published by Macmillan, and a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. Her latest book is Baby Cousin’s Big Day, the fourth installment in her popular picture book series Yoomi, Friends, and Family. It’s scheduled to be published in July 2025.
